VIRU (VIRANJINI) GOPISETTY
DVM
Co-Medical Director

Dr. Viru (Viranjini) Gopisetty grew up in India where she first developed a deep love for animals. In 2004, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue a career in public health at the University of California, San Francisco. After becoming a pet parent to a Golden Retriever puppy (Sasha), she was inspired to pursue her long cherished dream of working with animals and began volunteer work with several organizations in the local community. In 2011, she began her studies at the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine in Davis where she graduated in 2015. Following veterinary school, she completed a rigorous one-year internship at San Francisco Veterinary Specialists where she studied multiple medical disciplines. Since 2016, she has been practicing small animal companion medicine at veterinary clinics in Marin County and San Francisco. She is ecstatic to be a founding doctor at Noe Animal Hospital.

Dr. Gopisetty enjoys working with pets of all ages and building life-long relationships with her patients and clients. She has a special interest in older/geriatric pets that stems from first-hand experience of caring for her own dog (Sasha) who developed bone cancer in her senior years. Dr. Gopisetty deeply understands the needs of older pets, and she strives to work with pet parents to make their pets “golden years” full of quality and comfort.

In her free time, Dr. Gopisetty loves spending time with her husband (Sri) and their sassy cat (Ramu), hiking on coastal trails, organic gardening, and helping support several animal rescue organizations in India.
