Dr. Alex Reading grew up in New England knowing she wanted to be a veterinarian from the age of 4. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Hamilton College before continuing on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2020.

After graduating, she practiced for four years in Boulder, Colorado before moving with her family to San Francisco. At work she enjoys seeing pets through all stages of life, with a special focus on palliative care. Outside of work she loves to run and hike with her husband, son, and two dogs - Maple (a golden retriever) and Willow (an American Bully). She looks forward to meeting you!
